The Italian National Research Council (CNR) is the main public research body of Italy. Constituted in 2002 as a merger between the two internationally renowned former Institutes CNUCE and IEI, ISTI is the largest institute of the CNR ICT Department and is committed to scientific excellence in research and technology transfer over Networking, Knowledge Science and
Technologies, Software Science and Technologies, Visual and High Performance Computing. In CHOReOS CNR-ISTI also involves as a third-party entity researchers from the University of Camerino.
The Software Engineering Laboratory (SELab), led by Antonia Bertolino, brings in a solid expertise and a long outstanding research curriculum in software V&V, testing and analysis. Currently research is strongly focused in the development of methodologies and tools for functional and non-functional testing of component-based systems and Service-oriented Architectures. Of relevance to
CHOReOS, recently concluded or current research projects of which SELab is a partner (and to which A. Polini, now with University of Camerino, has actively contributed) include:
In CHOReOS ISTI will contribute a holistic and integrated approach to guarantee the on-line testability of large scale choreographies for the Future Internet. Therefore, ISTI will contribute to WPs 1 and 5, lead and mostly carry out WP4 tasks, in which they will develop methodologies and tools for on-line V&V and will implement a concept of governance to enforce V&V rules and policies.
